Points/Issues Raised
- 18 new RDS members, joined in the last 3 months.
- Geoff said he would be main contact for the brigade committee.
- Input on the service plan and how will it affect them.
- Discussion on the use of rider boards and the priority system that means that there are delays on turn outs.
- Discussion about increasing numbers of RDS members, head office will sent a rep. to recruit at stations.
- Health and safety, near miss put in at Winchester due to a fire fighter getting his neck caught on the newly positioned Hose Reel on the new Pumps. As it is mounted quite high.
- Turnout times in icy conditions, is the service aware that turnouts could be delayed due to icy roads, and so affect Beacon status.
- Members unsure what is happening about RMS sheets and the trial.
- Deaf awareness has been rolled out, just a few catch up sessions to mop up anyone who has missed out.
